American Canyon Transit

American Canyon Transit (ACT) is a deviated fixed route bus service with two routes on weekdays, including AM & PM Peak service, and connections to the American Canyon High School and VINE Route 29 Commuter Express. 

Hours of Operation:  Monday - Friday, 6 am to 6:44 pm.          During core hours (10 am to 4 pm) both routes ACT 1 and ACT 2 are in service.

Transfers:  Passengers paying a fare may request a free transfer to or from the VINE Route 10.  A transfer is good for a one-zone fare.  For travel beyond one zone the passenger must pay the additional fare.

Deviated Pickup:  ACT makes every effort to serve all deviated pickup requests.  Deviations from the published route are permitted for seniors and persons with disabilities only during Core Service hours of 10 am to 4 pm. Seniors (age 65 and older) and disabled individuals may make same day deviated requests by calling 557-7557.

Fares:   When paying with cash, exact fare is required.  Drivers do not make change. 

Children age 5 and younger (limit 2 per paying Adult) ride free. Additional children beyond the limit of 2 pay $.50 for each child.

SERVICE ROUTES

Route ACT-1 Southbound starts at 6 am weekdays from the ACT bus stop on Main Street next to WalMart.  ACT-1 travels southbound via Rio Del Mar to Donaldson Way and continues (see map, blue ACT route). 

Route ACT-2 Northbound starts at 10 am weekdays from the ACT bus stop on James Street at Crawford Way.  ACT-2 travels easterly via Donaldson Way to southbound Shenandoah and continues (see map, blue ACT route).

AM Peak Service makes two loops in the AM; first loop from WalMart bus stop at 7:25 am, and second loop from Rio Del Mar at Eucalyptus (7-Eleven) bus stop southbound (see map, green Peak Service route).  The bus front destination sign will read as “American Canyon High School”.  See a list of AM Peak service bus stops below:

Passengers paying a fare may request a free transfer to or from VINE Route 10.  Please ask the Driver for the transfer upon boarding the bus boarding the bus.  A transfer to the VINE Route 10 is good for a one-zone trip only.  For travel beyond one-zone the passenger must pay the additional fare.

HOLIDAYS

No service on: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.  Special service may be operated on July 4^th.

BICYCLES

Bicycle racks are located on the front exterior bumper of ACT buses and will hold up to 2 bikes at a time.  Drivers to not assist passengers.
